Another film that I dig is 'Stir of Echoes'.  Similar in premise to
'Sixth Sense', where the dead speak to a kid in order to get closure
on some event.  Sixth Sense is a better film, and the ending of
Stir of Echoes is predictable, but the nightmare/communication
sequences in Stir are pretty scary and worthwhile enough to be seen.
