From: "B. S. Blair" 'The Raven' is a light film and has an amusing magic-duel sequence between Karloff and Price. Though I would be hard-pressed to call the film an adaptation of Poe's poem :). -Sue B. --- THE RAVEN (1963, Dir: Roger Corman) Our favorite frugal filmmaker, Roger Corman, made this horror-comedy using the sets from other Poe films. The star studded cast includes Peter Lorre, Vincent Price, Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson as Lorre's idiot son. One of the best movie adaptations of a 19th-century poem you'll find.
