La Planete sauvage (1973)

Fantastic Planet, adult, animated, French with subtitles.
Not to be confused with Fantastic Voyage (the Asimov thing with
the journey of a surgical team inside some dude's body)
One of my favorite films, this is supposed to be a profound metaphor
for class struggle, but like an oinking proletariat hog, I prefer
to abuse the thing as a total stoner flick with groovy colors,
especially red and blue vein and artery imagery (I also dig Heavy
Metal and Heavy Metal II as stoner flicks). The film is actually
pretty strong sci fi since a complete society of aquatic
space beings is presented along with their habits and customs
including hooka-smoking and cheesy sexy outfits. The best part of
the film is a desolate planet-scape scene which is strange, creepy,
and haunting.
